AS OMICRON RAGES THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY I HAVE REINSTATED MY PREVIOUS, STRICTER PROTOCOLS REGARDING ACTIVITIES THAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE PRIOR TO AN APPOINTMENT AT FRINGE. I HAVE A LIMITED SUPPLY OF SURGICAL MASKS TO OFFER, BUT IF YOU'RE ABLE, PLEASE COME PREPARED. I ALSO NEED EVERYONE TO RETURN TO CALLING STUDIO PRIOR TO ENTRANCE SO WE CAN DISCUSS RISK-LEVEL PRIOR TO ENTRY. This summer I made the decision to limit the scope of my clientele. I am no longer offering services of any kind to unvaccinated individuals 12 and older. Any clients who are affected by this situation are welcome to return if your vaccination status changes. Knowing that this Delta variant is carried and transmissible by fully vaccinated people leaves me feeling like I am taking enough risk right now staying open for the individuals who are trying to help our community get thru this by getting the vaccine. AND of course all the kiddos who aren't old enough yet....I want there to be a safe place for them to get hair services too.
I AM CONTINUING TO SUSPEND DOUBLE-BOOKINGS AT THIS TIME, UNLESS BOTH PEOPLE ARE FROM THE SAME HOUSEHOLD BUBBLE. This has cramped up my schedule a bit, and is causing some availability issues. Please be patient and understand that I am doing my best to keep everyone happy with their time-slot choices, but there will be times I just can't make it work.
Fringe will continue maintaining the safety measures we have in place that have been keeping us all safe.***** I HAVE REINSTATED MY MASKING POLICY, REGARDLESS OF AGE. EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK OVER THEIR NOSE AND MOUTH DURING ALL APPOINTMENTS. SERVICES THAT REQUIRE MASK REMOVAL (LIKE WAXING) ARE AVAILABLE TO FULLY VACCINATED CLIENTS ONLY.***** I personally will continue to mask and follow guidance from the Oregon State Board, and support those who choose to continue masking. I know I have enjoyed not getting sick this last year+!!!
I continue to offer shampooing for all clients who wish to enjoy a good scrub and conditioning! And for fully vaccinated clients I will be offering blow-dry and heat styling when scheduling allows. (There may be times when I am unable to offer blow-drying.....when I have young children not of age to be vaccinated on the schedule within 2 hours after your apt. If you are curious about whether or not you will be in a time-slot that accommodates blow-drying, send me a text and I am happy to let you know.
I continue to remind myself every day that this new paradigm is a marathon, not a sprint....and I'm trying to approach everything and everyone with as much grace as possible. I am so grateful to all of my clients who have traversed this insanity along-side me. I am blessed to have my health, my family, and an incredibly supportive group of clients.

I have been back behind the chair since June 10th, 2020. I appreciate all the mask-wearing clients who have visited so far. Thank you for caring about my safety as much as I care about yours.
This is a moment in time when all of us as stylists are being forced to re-learn how we do almost everything, As the owner of Fringe, it has been my job to interpret all the new State Board mandates and CDC guidelines, and find ways to implement those protocols here at Fringe, to keep all of us safe. I appreciate all of my clients, for your patience and understanding while I sort out how best to make this new normal work best for all of us. I have had the opportunity to welcome many new faces to Fringe during these Covid times. It is imperative for new clients to review the main content of this website PRIOR to booking your first appointment. Please note that I am regularly booked 4-6 weeks out, and with Covid cancellations, my first priority is to my existing clientele. Below are listed the protocols I have implemented in an effort to create a safe environment for myself and my clientele. I appreciate your business and your patience as we traverse this new paradigm together.
SAFETY FIRST! Knowing that this virus, and the guidelines surrounding it will probably be with us for a long while, I followed the sage advise from my dad to DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. And while I have done my part to try to make it as safe as possible, all of you will need to do your part too. The following is a peek at some of the protocols and changes you can expect when you visit;
PLAN AHEAD! :
I WILL NOT ALLOW ENTRY OF ANY CLIENTS WHO HAVE EATEN OUT INDOORS IN PUBLIC WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THEIR APPOINTMENT. OMICRON IS SO CONTAGIOUS THAT I AM NOT WILLING TO TAKE THE RISK OF EXPOSURE.
*EVERYONE WILL NEED TO BOOK AHEAD. I will not permit walk-ins at this time, which means bang trims, neck shaves, product pick-up, etc will all need to be planned ahead. I have strict sanitation rules to follow, and I also need to keep building capacity to a bare minimum.
*When you arrive for your appointment, I ask that you are timely. If you are someone who is always 10 minutes early...thank you, but you will need to relax in your car or on the bench in our outdoor waiting area until your scheduled time.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL YOU HAVE CONNECTED WITH ME VIA PHONE, AND COMPLETED THE INTAKE PROCESS.
I have a thorough intake procedure for new clients. I will get some basic info over the phone regarding your covid-awareness and risk-levels, which will require your absolute honesty. Existing clients will still need to check-in prior to entering the building, answering a short-form version. I will take your temperature upon entry to the building, and this information will be added to your intake form with questions about your current health, and any possible exposure to the virus. I will store these at the studio for 60 days, and will submit them to contact-tracers if requested.
* MASK ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL CLIENTS.
In the future I may allow mask-free appointments. In order to take advantage of a mask-free appointment
you must have on your person, PROOF-OF-VACCINATION.
CLIENTS ARE WELCOME TO BRING IN A PHOTOCOPY TO ATTACH TO YOUR PERSONAL FILE, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FORGETTING IT.
You are also welcome to email me a copy, which I am happy to print and attach to your file.
* I suggest that couples and/or families, book in group-blocks.
I have resumed shampooing services for any VACCINATED clients who wish. I have also started offering blow-dry and heat styling WHEN SCHEDULING ALLOWS. I still have many families with kiddos who are unable to get their vaccine due to age, and so I will not be offering blow-dry service within 2 hours prior to any kiddo appointments. If you are curious if this protocol affects your appointment, feel free to text me the day of, and I can let you know so you can plan accordingly.
* I also need to remind everyone that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we may have to consider rescheduling, and there may be a no-show fee assessed. The new normal is creating a scheduling nightmare for all of us, and I have NO WIGGLE ROOM in my schedule.
We can find a way thru this new reality together, with compassion, patience, science and empathy. Please remember to wear your mask when asked, wash your hands, and maintain physical distancing guidelines.
